The planning has begun, the tickets have been purchased, and the route mapped out. We are 50 days out and have a lot of work left to do, but this trip is quickly becoming a reality. This blog will serve as a daily update of where we are and will, hopefully, include some pictures from the previous days ride. We hope to upload our route and post the mileage and vertical information as well. I hope this blog will help to document this trip and will try my best to keep it current and to keep you all informed on the goings on of the trip.
As the route stands right now we will be traversing 2,048 miles over the course of 38 days (in case you are wondering that is an average of 54 miles a day, some solid riding) travelling from Rome, Italy to the coast of England at Holyhead. This route will take us through Rome, Pisa, Milan, just outside Zürich, Strasbourg, Luxemburg, Brussels, Calais, Dover, and London. At the end of the 38 days, we will fly from London to Iceland. Where we plan to relax in the hot springs and see the beautiful, volcanic, and desolate landscape of Iceland. This should be an amazing trip and we can't wait to get started on it. That's all I have for now and I wish you all the best. Till next time.
